This course covers a range of essential and higher-level accounting techniques and disciplines. Students will learn and develop skills needed for complex financial processes, including maintaining cost accounting records, advanced bookkeeping and the preparation of financial reports and returns. They will also understand technology used to provide management accounting information, business issues regarding payroll and VAT, and ethical principles and sustainability considerations for accountants.
This qualification will provide students with the specialist knowledge and skills to progress into employment in an accounting or finance role, or to further study. It is suitable for students who are looking to develop their skills in accounting, or for those who have started working in finance and want to attain formal recognition of their skills.
