Ready to make a difference in the lives of others? This 4-week programme provides the essential training and support to help you begin a rewarding career in care.

What You’ll Learn:

Gain valuable knowledge and skills through masterclasses led by industry experts on topics including:

  • Dementia care
  • End of life care
  • Infection prevention and control
  • Manual handling
  • Neurodiversity

This course follows the Care Certificate framework, ensuring you build a strong foundation for your new role in care.

How It Works:

  • Online Learning: Most of the course is delivered online via Microsoft Teams. You’ll need access to a computer or laptop, as phones and tablets aren’t compatible.
  • In-Person Sessions: Attend three face-to-face sessions at our Health and Active Living Skills Centre in Weston-Super-Mare. These hands-on days provide practical, engaging learning experiences.
  • Cost: Free
  • Eligibility: Not have completed a Skills Bootcamp funded by the DFE in the last 12 months
  • Ages: 19+
