So you think you hate Maths? We are teaching Skills for Life at Creative Twerton. On Thursdays we are leading sessions in sewing, textiles and basic pattern cutting for beginners, under our Stitch Yrself Up programme.

These are and fun and practical sessions making beautiful items for yourself and your home, developing creative making skills and identifying and building confidence with maths skills that are useful in the everyday.

Practice your constructive sewing skills making hats, and home decor like bunting and fabric storage boxes. Try out making a ball or bring your own patterns with guidance in how to use made to measure techniques and practical pattern cutting.

We are supported by Multiply. If you are aged 19+ and do not already have a GCSE at grade C or equivalent in maths, multiply offers easy to access, free numeracy courses and initiatives that can help you brush up your maths skills and help you become more confident with numbers.

Multiply offers a range courses and initiatives for beginners, and those who want to build on the foundations of their maths knowledge – to more advanced offers such as GCSE maths, level two functional skills, qualification, or equivalent.
