Future Bright offers free career coaching to help you move forward.

Feel stuck, need a change, or don’t know how to progress?

Future Bright is here to help people who work and want to learn new skills, take the next step in their career, gain confidence or earn more money.

The average person in the UK spends about 3,507 days at work – we want to help make those days happier and more rewarding.

Future Bright offers free career coaching to help you set goals and achieve them.

Whether you want to earn more money, feel more confident, change careers, or just enjoy work more, having a coach to guide you can really help.

What support do we offer?

Future Bright is run by local councils in the West of England. If you join, you’ll get a career coach in your area for 3 to 6 months, to:

Help you make a career plan and set goals
Explore new job opportunities
Improve your CV, job applications, and interview skills
Boost your confidence and motivation
Give advice on other support services
Point you to specialist help with training, money, benefits, for work and self-employment
Keep your information private (unless there’s a risk to you or someone else)

Am I eligible?

Future Bright is for people living in Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, and South Gloucestershire.
To join, you must be:

18 or over
In paid work (including zero-hours contracts or self-employment)

Support is tailored to each person and the help you receive may vary depending your situation

What will I need to do?

Your career coach will help you create a personal plan based on your goals. Once agreed, you’ll need to:

Set goals and work towards them
Follow up on agreed actions
Let us know if you need extra support
Tell us if you can’t attend a session, interview, or training
Give feedback at the end to help improve the programme

You’ll also need to show proof of your eligibility (such as ID or work details).
